YAMOTO BAND: They are the trendiest boy band from Tanzania at the moment. Yamoto Band have won the hearts of many female fans and the begrudging respect of male fans.

One of the members, Aslay – previously known as Dogo Aslay – also has a huge following. Before he joined the band he had made a name for himself.
Aslay is know for hits like Nakusema, Shukran and Niwe Nawe. The former child star is a protégée of Mheshimiwa Temba, a veteran music heavy weigh.
The entire Yamoto Band is housed under the TMK Wanaume Family in a subsection called Mkubwa na Wanawe.
