Adam Lallana has signed a new four-year contract at Liverpool, worth £150,000-a-week.

He has scored seven goals in 27 appearances for Liverpool so far this season and overall has 20 goals in 117 games.

The England international was signed by Brendan Rodgers in a £25million transfer from Southampton in 2014.

His form was inconsistent in his first season at Anfield but under the guidance of Klopp, who replaced Rodgers in October 2015, Lallana has thrived.

The two share a close relationship and Lallana lives next to Klopp in Formby.

'I see him taking his bins out, we take each other’s mail,' Lallana told Sportsmail in August.

'I remember one of his first meetings when he arrived. He told us he was going to be our friend but not our best friend. That’s how it should be.'

He has also established himself as a key member of the England setup. Lallana has scored seven goals in 27 appearances for Liverpool so far this season

He scored his first international goal in September with an injury time winner against Slovakia in World Cup qualifying and has 29 caps overall, with three goals.

Liverpool, currently fifth in the Premier League with 49 points from 25 games, are next in action on Monday, February 27 away to Leicester.
