If Barcelona had to turn water into wine to get past PSG, they need to walk on water without getting wet to overturn a 3-0 first leg defeat against Juventus.
The Italian champions elect convincingly put the Spanish side to the sword in a peerless display courtesy of a Paulo Dybala first half brace and a Georgio Chiellini strike.
Argentina/Juventus star Paulo Dybala- labeled the new Lionel Messi, was at his all time best on Tuesday night, scoring two goals to help Italian giants Juventus record a whopping 3-0 first leg win over Barcelona in the UEFA champions league quarter finals.
Giorgio Chiellini also found the net for the Old Lady as Barca suffered another first-leg humiliation- the first being the 4-0 loss to PSG in the round of 16. Juan Cuadrado crossed to Dybala from the right and he reacted masterfully in the box to send the ball home. Dybala then again in the 22nd minute, struck home another beauty from the edge of the box.
With the score at 2-0, Juventus then extended their lead to three goals in the 55th minute with Chiellini out-jumping Javier Mascherano to score his side's third goal while Lionel Messi's effort was ruled of for offside. Barcelona will now have to prepare for the second leg at the Camp Nou- will another miracle occur? Only time will tell.
Chances of Messi & co going through are slim against a disciplined and clinical Juventus side that has conceded just 2 goals in 8 games but you know what they say. Never say never.
