Role overview
The ideal person will Support the schools to; provide quality education by promoting teachers professional development and Empower teachers with skills of using child centred methodologies. Also Ensure the project activities are delivered on time as per project Annual work plan, work in a team with to ensure quality and timely project delivery. The person will equip teacher with child centred methodologies skills.
Skills, qualifications and experience required
• Degree holder(Bachelor of Education)
• Experienced of Classroom teaching in primary or secondary school or college not less than 5 experience.

Role overview
The ideal Manager will manage the strategic development, implementation and successful delivery of the Secure livelihoods Programme, supporting all of VSO’s work in- country as required by the Country Director in order to optimize the VSO Tanzania contribution towards reducing poverty.
Skills, qualifications and experience required
You will have strong understanding of the economic and development context of Tanzania, excellent Program management skills, track record of program delivery.
Excellent understanding of project cycle management tools to ensure effective planning, resourcing, implementation and review of programs and experience of organizational assessment, planning and review tools and processes.
Practical experience of applying development issues at a project or community level. Able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of development issues. Experience and knowledge of the relevant program area.
Proven experience of securing external funding and grants, including proposal and report writing. Evidence of understanding the challenges of donor and contract management and the implications for program management.
Leadership and people management skills, experience of developing, coaching and managing high performing teams
Experience of the financial management of budgets, including building a budget, monitoring and managing expenditure. Previous experience of having compiled financial reports
Able to develop multiple ideas to solve an issue or situation and take a swift decision, including in a high risk situation.
Able to adapt to new and demanding situations, with experience of living and working in developing countries.
Competent Data usage: including speedy collation and analysis of complex and high volume data, using appropriate Information Technology packages where necessary.
Able to travel and work long hours, including work away from the home base for up to 30% of time, both within the country and occasionally internationally.
The persons we are looking for will be qualified to degree level and have at least 5 years of experience.

Role overview
When you have a passion of sharing your knowledge in teaching as well as carpentry and construction in an international setting, this is your job! With your contribution, the level of education in this area of Tanzania can be brought to a higher level. In this role, you will work collaboratively with carpentry teachers within VETA (the Vocational Education and Training Authority) in Lindi and occasionally travel to Mtwara. The purpose of this role is to improve the standards of carpentry education and workshops to meet IVQ (International Vocational Quality) standards. She or he will also support other advisors within the project to work together as a team to deliver the objectives of the project. Moreover, she or he will dedicate time to help and instruct teachers. The purpose of these instructions is to achieve that teachers learn more on how to maintain tools, link carpentry and construction as well as designs of different structures.
Skills, qualifications and experience required
Qualifications (essential):
Degree and/or Advance Diploma in Vocational training or QTS certification or the equivalent with particular experience in carpentry and construction or building , drawing, and mathematics
Experience
• Experience of three or more years in teaching methodology from vocational training facility or related institution is highly recommended for this position
• Have at least two years of experience in the practical vocational training.
• Experience in installing, repair and maintain carpentry systems and fixtures in residential, commercial, institutional, industrial or public buildings.
• Experience in management of information systems.
• Experience in reading blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of carpentry systems.
Knowledge
It is vital that the Adviser in this role has proficient understanding of:
• Water distribution and waste water disposal in residential, commercial and/or industrial buildings;
• Relevant building codes, legislation, regulations, policies and procedures of installation and maintenance;
• African economic, cultural and political environment;
• Machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
Skills
• Vocational training, preferably specialised in carpentry and pipe fitting;
• Facilitation and negotiation skills;
• Literacy and ability to effectively use Office software and modern communication tools (Internet, LAN, email and related software;
• Confident in training, communication and presentation, also competent in coaching others.

Role overview
The Nutrition adviser will provide technical advice to the Regional Health Management Team (RHMT), Council Health Management Teams (CHMT’s) Nutrition Committees at the regional and district levels and health care workers on how improve individual behavior and household practices, promotion of collective actions in communities and creating enabling environment for good nutrition outcomes.
The volunteer will focus on developing sustainable nutrition interventions which involve social behavioral change and communication (SBCC) approach in health facilities and community in Kigoma region
Skills, qualifications and experience required
• A degree in Nutrition, Masters is added advantage.
• Experience of working in nutrition in developing countries.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience
• Teamwork, with the ability to work collaboratively in diverse groups.
• Ability to work in an institutional environment, hospital and health facility settings and in the community
• Experience and knowledge in Nutrion and general health.

Role overview
The Strategy Adviser, alongside the Secretary General of the National Council of NGOs, will lead the development of NaCoNGOs five year strategy. You will use your strategic planning background to lead all elements of the strategic planning process including context analysis, participatory research, documentation and approval.
Skills, qualifications and experience required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree business, development or a related subject.
Strategic planning
5+ years of experience on leading strategic planning development process and managing clients in a deadline-driven professional services environment.
Able to combine high-level strategy and analytical thinking with tactical creativity and flair.
Communication:
Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to vary communication content and style to suit audiences to inform, motivate and inspire.
