Tanzanian government to employ 1600 science teachers


The government to employ 1600 science teachers.
Deputy Secretary-General Ministry of Regional Administration and Local Government Education, Tixon Nzunda said the government intends to employ one thousand six hundred science teachers by December this year (2017).
Speaking to secondary school teachers in Bogwe district in Kasulu district Kigoma, Nzundasaid the government has now set priorities for employing science teachers, which is a major requirement for secondary schools compared with other academic teachers and that teachers will be divided into secondary schools in the country to reduce the problem of science teachers.
In addition, Nzunda said from now on, there would be no attempt to raise teachers levels after three-year of working and instead teachers will be promoted to higher lever by their own teaching efforts, where he also noted that the government is determined to finalize various debt claims of teachers by june next year (2018).
